BA with Honours

1. Honours Subject: A student can offer Honours in any one of the ten disciplines/subjects English, Assamese, Economics, Political Science, Education, Anthropology, Mathematics, History, Geography, and Philosophy subject to the fulfilment of requisite marks and combinations in the H.S. or equivalent examination. Students opting for an Honours subject will have to complete Core Courses (CC) and Discipline Specific Elective (DSE) courses as per syllabi published by Gauhati University.
2. Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC):English/MIL Communication and Environmental studies.
3. Generic Elective (GE):All the Arts and Science departments offer Generic Elective (GE) courses. Students are advised to choose GE papers after going through the syllabus.
4. Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC):All the Arts and Science departments offer SEC. Students are advised to choose SEC after going through the syllabus.

BA Regular (without Honours)

1. Compulsory Courses:

   2. MIL (Assamese)
   3. Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC): English/MIL Communication and Environmental studies.



2. Regular Subjects:
   Students offering BA Regular programme can choose any one of the following combinations of disciplines as regular subject:
